8 x 11", coloured pencil drawing on card stock paper.

This piece was a sketch of Sherlock Holmes "Mind Palace" illustration as seen at The Shelock Holmes Artist Walk at The Toronto Public Library as well as TPL's Arthur Conan Doyle Collection and 221b via Street Art Toronto.

“Mind Palace” is inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's creative metaphor of the human brain's process of thought as a 'brain attic'. According to Doyle, Holmes believed that we store our memories and experiences in rooms like that of a house; or perhaps The Palace of Westminster in London, England. The artist had the pleasure of visiting the Palace in person in 2023 and was overjoyed by the synchronicity.
